Every Smile
Emotional wellbeing
Events and days out that give children the joy they have been deprived of.

Great food has the power to bring people together. Together with the Every Mikkle Foundation, we are helping create brighter futures for children and young people across Jamaica, Ghana and communities around the world.
A Jamaican proverb: every little contribution, combined with others, makes something significant. It is where the Foundation got its name, and it is how community work actually happens — small acts, added up.
October 2013
A very small group of young Jamaican students wanted to make a change. With no resources and little experience — but faith, determination and talent — the Every Mikkle Foundation was born.
24 December 2013
Two months after inception, two students with an idea had become 25 students with a purpose and a plan. That Christmas, they helped over 50 residents across three children's homes.
Since 2013
The original 25 stayed, and more than 125 others joined them. Every initiative aims to improve the quality of life of the young people the Foundation serves.
Today
Work has reached young people in Jamaica, Haiti, the United States, the United Kingdom, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Ghana, Kenya, Eritrea, Zimbabwe, Trinidad and Australia.
Ongoing
The mission, put simply, is to amass talented young people who help underprivileged youth survive and thrive through education, global awareness, events and resources.

Jamaica · December 2013
Two months after the Foundation was formed, 25 student volunteers gave more than 50 residents of three children's homes the Christmas they had been deprived of.
On 24 December 2013, the Every Mikkle Foundation held its first annual event. What began as two students with an idea had become 25 students with a purpose and a plan. By the end of the day, over 50 residents across three children's homes in Jamaica had had a Christmas of their own. It remains the Foundation's founding story, and the reason its volunteers still describe the work as a "mikkle" that became a "muckle".

Jamaica · June 2023
The Foundation spent an unforgettable day with the children at Dare to Care, alongside the Abtar family — Jerk Harbour's founders — and their children.
The Every Mikkle Foundation described it simply: an unforgettable day at the Dare to Care Children's Home, spent with the children alongside the Abtar family and their children. It is the kind of day that does not appear in an annual report — no fundraising target, no campaign — just people turning up. For Jerk Harbour's founders it is where the partnership stopped being an idea and became something the family does.

Foundation volunteers packing and handing out food and supplies — the everyday work between the big events.
Between the annual events sits the ordinary work: boxes packed, boots on the road, supplies handed to people who need them. The Foundation's volunteers photograph these days themselves, and they are the clearest picture of what "every mikkle" actually looks like day to day.

The Every Mikkle Foundation is a separate community organisation. Jerk Harbour is a supporter and partner, not the Foundation's owner, trustee or fundraising agent, and the two are not the same legal entity.
No exaggeration, no small print. Here is the honest chain between a plate of jerk chicken and a young person receiving support.
