Who we are
Jerk Harbour operates from Jungle Avenue Food Court, A&C Mall, East Legon, Accra. This page explains, in plain terms, how we handle personal information. It is maintained by Jerk Harbour and is not independent legal advice.
What we collect
Contact details you give us — name, email, phone number — when you send a catering or events enquiry, apply for a job, or message us on WhatsApp.
Details about your enquiry such as event date, guest numbers and any notes you include.
Basic analytics about how the website is used, where those tools are enabled.
How we use it
To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, process an order, or assess a job application.
To improve the website and understand which pages and dishes people are interested in.
We do not sell your personal data.
Cookies and similar technologies
We group cookies into four categories. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site secure and working — your basket, your session and protection against spam form submissions — and cannot be switched off. Preference cookies remember choices such as spice level, delivery or collection, and saved favourites. Analytics cookies come from Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager and show us which dishes people look for and where the ordering journey gets stuck. Marketing cookies come from the Meta Pixel and the TikTok Pixel and let us measure our adverts.
Preferences, analytics and marketing are switched off by default. Nothing in those three categories loads until you opt in: before you choose, no request is made to Google, Meta or TikTok, and Google Consent Mode is set to denied for analytics storage, ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing is exactly as easy as accepting — one switch — and takes effect immediately; we also expire the relevant third-party cookies when you do.
When you make a choice we record the date and time, the version of this notice you saw, and the categories you selected, so we can evidence your consent. That record contains no name, email address or IP address.
We also count anonymous page and button events on our own servers. That measurement is cookieless, never leaves jerkharbour.com, is not shared with anyone, and carries no identifier at all unless you have accepted analytics.
Where you are
If you are in Ghana, the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) applies. If you are in the United Kingdom, the UK GDPR and PECR apply. If you are in the European Economic Area, the EU GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive apply. Rather than treat visitors differently, we apply the strictest of these standards to everyone: prior opt-in for every non-essential cookie, wherever you are.
Ordering partners
When you order through a delivery partner or WhatsApp, that service handles your data under its own privacy policy. We only receive what is needed to prepare and hand over your order.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and applications are kept only as long as needed to respond and to keep reasonable business records, then deleted.
Your choices
